NextGen Position
Columbus First Assembly (CFA) is in Columbus, IN. Columbus is located about half-way between Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY in southern Indiana. CFA is a church in transition. The current lead pastor is staging for retirement, and a new lead pastor has already been secured. We are
looking for an experienced NextGen minister to come alongside and lead ministry in this new season for the church. The compensation package will align with experience of the candidate. We prefer the candidate to hold credentials with the Assemblies of God or be in the process of
obtaining credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all ministries for 0yrs-12th grade (NextGen Ministry)
- Work with lead pastor to maintain a vision for all NextGen ministries that is
complimentary to the overall vision for the church - Lead the weekly youth group and/or children’s church as needed. Be a proficient
communicator in NextGen ministries - Maintain scheduled office hours, attend staff meetings and work in unity with all staff
- Work with the lead pastor to set and maintain budgets for all NextGen ministries
- Continue to develop personal leadership ability through education classes and by
attending NextGen conferences agreed upon with the lead pastor - Recruit and equip all leaders for all NextGen ministries
- Leadership Development-oversee all training for NextGen ministry leaders
- Perform background checks for any ministry volunteer in all NextGen ministries
- Schedule and equip volunteers for all ministries 0yrs-12 th grade
- Schedule any events for all ministries 0yrs-12 th grade
- Order any curriculum and materials needed for all ministries 0yrs-12 th grade
- Provide tech, media and ministry materials for each NextGen ministry
- Work with staff and volunteers to provide outreach opportunities for all ages
- Work with ministry administrative assistant to complete tasks/duties
- Partner with parents in their discipleship roles with their children
Compensation:
This is a full-time ministry position. The compensation package for the position will align with the qualifications and experience of the candidate hired with a salary range of $50K-60K
